Vixen Spotlight - Kate Boeger
Kate Boeger:
What is it you do that "Breaks The Mold" Hobby/Sport wise?
I believe I stand out because I hold a grateful mind set that’s often hard to find in others these days. When I go out into the wild with my machines I take in every moment and make sure to give thanks to living world of trees, critters, and running water around me. It’s literally breathtaking to behold what’s in front of me sometimes. I hope to inspire others to live this way rather than just go out with their machines and tear up the land to make a cool video. I actually don’t have any cool videos of myself riding because I’m too busy living in the moment to stop and record. Being a young woman as well, I can inspire similar girls and women who are perhaps too afraid to stand out in the Motorsports industry because the men are so much better than we are. I have so much confidence in myself to do anything and everything, and I can feel the potential inside me that I look forward to unleashing on the world someday soon ;)
What are other hobbies/passions you enjoy?
While Motorsports are my absolute favorite, I thoroughly enjoy anything and everything outdoors. I’m an avid hiker and find myself on a trail (or off the trail (; ) at least once a week with my handsome German Shepherd. I’m always down to go camping, travel, and explore Mother Nature. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do also so I often gather with my friends and do silly and fun things! In general, I love to be active so I’m go go go all the time.
What drew you to Off Road Vixens?
Obviously the fact that it’s women based and ran!! But also because the women within the group are so supportive and encouraging, which all young (and older) women could use in this world. There is a lot of darkness we experience and witness each day, but ORV provides a brightness that distracts us from the dark and allows us to smile and look forward to doing something we love.
What does being An Off Road Vixen Brand Ambassador mean to you?
It means being a part of a positive minded group that serves to inspire and lead women of all ages and backgrounds to follow their passions without allowing the negativity of the world to hold them back. We can all do great things, we just have to get past the barriers of life, and ORV helps us to do just that.
What are your short term goals?
Short term, I hope to continue to be active with ORV and the fearless ladies within the group. I aim to inspire others and climb the ladder of the Motorsports industry!
Where do you see your future in this industry?
In a dream world, I see myself being someone in the Motorsports industry who plays an important role of leadership. I want to take my hardships and the lessons I’ve learned from them, and turn them into a fiery passion of pioneering through the Motorsports world and making it an industry that seeps positivity, encouragement, and life changing experiences for my fellow Motorsport loving people.
Achievements / Milestones
I have always succeeded in school, and have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, which is another passion of mine. I’ve had experience in many different fields of profession, from animal science all the way to building houses. I thoroughly enjoy experiencing and learning everything there is to learn in this world. As far as milestones go, I’ve confronted and endured enough tragedies, from losing my mother to cancer in high school to nearly dying in a hit and run motorcycle accident, to realize that life is about just that- experiencing and surviving anything and everything life throws at you. Aside from what I’ve lost in life, I’m extremely grateful to be where I am at in my life today, and I only hope to show others to look at life the same way.
What else should our readers know about you?
They should know that I have so much passion and potential to do amazing and fruitful things stored inside of me that I cannot wait to share with them all. And you do too! ;)
What are your words of wisdom to other females in the industry that are reading this?
Find supportive riding friends who push you past your limits, so that you exceed your own expectations of yourself. I’ve learned that riding anything is mostly about confidence and not as much skill as you think!
As cliché as it sounds, focus on the positive and dream big because the opposite will get you absolutely no where :)
